February 8th 1956: Inaugural Meeting
Subs 25/-, Supper 6d
Hosted International Colour Slide Exhibition, over 800 entries
Australasian Slide Competition at Town Hall, 1700 entries
Night classes at Tauranga Girls College
Sound/Slide National Competition introduced in 1960's
Membership over 100, 6th largest club in NZ
1966-1976
14th Northern Regional, 200 attended
1972 - Joan Hamilton LRPS
Television considered a 'menace'!
1974 - opening of club rooms Wharf St
1976-1986
1977 - National Convention Tauranga
College
1981 - Club's 25th anniversary
1982 - Tauranga's Centennial Exhibition
1983 - Northern Regional Convention
1984, 85, 86 - Sound Slide Exhibitions
1986-1996
1988 - print exhibition in Baycourt
1988 - Clubrooms demolished, carpark for Baycourt!
New clubrooms built at 177 Elizabeth St
Extensions built onto clubrooms: storerooms, studio, own darkroom
1991 - Darkroom opened
Northern Regional at Historic Village
1991 Keith Walters first APSNZ
1993 Print Exhibition to celebrate Women's Suffrage Centennial
1995 Members make archival record of Life in Tauranga for library

1996 PSNZ Bledisloe Cup for prints

The New Millennium
1999 Club Honours Board introduced
2000 Northern Regional held

2003 Elizabeth Carruthers first in the club to be awarded her FPSNZ
